The city of Huntington Beach is one of the most dog friendly cities in Orange County. In fact Huntington Beach has been voted one of the most dog friendly cities in the USA by several organizations including "Dog Town USA" by Dog Fancy. We love our dogs here, dog parents can take their dog to lunch, the beach, the dog park, for a stroll down Main Street and more.

Below is a list of things dogs and puppies will like and Huntington Beach and dog friendly places, that I recommend. Feel free to click here or on the tabs to the right for information about dog walking services.

  • The Huntington Beach Dog Beach

A wonderful 2 mile stretch of beach where your dog is welcome to play in the sand or surf.  It's located along Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint Street and Golden West Street. Parking is metered, you will need to bring quarters (it is 6 quarters per hour) unless you have an annual parking pass. The dog beach is not a city beach, it is 100% donation supported, donations can be made at the dog beach or on their web site.

  • The Huntington Beach Dog Park

I love this dog park, there is a small dog park and a large dog park. This is an off leash only dog park, it is not a good idea to take your leashed dog into the dog park as dogs on a leash feel more aggressivearound other dogs. Enter the holding area, remember to close the gate and remove your dogs leash then open the next gate to the dog park and let the fun begin!

The dog park is located on Edwards on the right hand side just before Slater if you are going north, turn right on Inlet drive, immediate right into the parking lot, the dog park is at the end of the parking area. Hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and weekends 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dog park address:

    18000 Goldenwest St

    Huntington Beach, CA 92647 ‎
