On this page is a list of daily dog walking, dog sitting and puppy care policies.Major Holiday Reservation Policy

  • Dog Sitting and Dog Walking Minimums For First Time Clients.

    • If you do not need the minimum number of dog sitting visits or dog walks, you may pay for the minimum and have a credit for the unused visits which will be good for 5 months from date of first service.

    • There is a 10 visit minimum for the week of December 24th 25th.

    • There is a 7 visit minimum on Thanksgiving and July 4th, If you are booking holiday dog sitter service and have questions please contact Lori for details regarding minimums.

    • For non holiday weeks there is a 5 visit minimum for first time clients, if you do not need 5 visits you may pay for 5 visits plus the consultation fee and have a credit which will be good for 5 months and can be redeemed on any week that does not contain a holiday.

    • There is a 2 overnight minimum for first time clients booking service on a non holiday week. For the week of Thanksgiving and December 25 there is a 7 overnight minimum for first time clients.

    • For small dog boarding there is a 3 night minimum for first time clients booking on a non holiday week. For major holiday weeks there is a 7 night minimum.

  • Major Holiday Reservation Policy

    • For dog sitter service, dog walks or puppy care pet care service reservations which include any date on the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years a non refundable, non transferable (credit can not be given for future dates) payment in full for the service is required. This policy is in place because these are the highest demand weeks of the year and dog sitters lose income if reservations are not kept.

  • Payment

  • All payments are due in advance of service. First time clients need to pay for their first service to guarantee the reservation, until payment is made reservation is not guaranteed. Payment can be made with check or cash at the time of your consultation, credit card invoices will be sent in advance of your consultation so please let Lori know if you would like one Please note if payment is not made during or before your consultation your service will be cancelled and you can book it at another time if there is availability. 

  • Credit Cards: we accept all credit cards, Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, please note there is a small convenience fee added to credit card invoices. Credit card invoices are on a separate system so please let Lori know if you would like a credit card invoice for your service or if you prefer to always receive a credit card invoice.

  • Returned check fee: there is a $45 free for any check returned from your bank for any reason as our bank charges us a for returned checks.

  •  Dog Walking Policy

     

    • Dogs are required to wear a collar or harness that fits, they must not be able to slip out of the harness collar. This is for your dogs safety.

    • Dogs who need to wear a harness for medical or size ( breeds who are under 10 lbs should not wear a collar, it can damage their neck) reasons need to have a harness that is the correct size and they can not slip out of. Please have your dog in the harness when we arrive, dog walking time starts on arrival and there are many brands of harnesses that can be complex to put on the dog.

    • Dogs must be up to date on all vet recommend ed vaccines or have had a titer test.

  •  Scheduled Dog Walking Policy

    • Daily scheduled dog walks are paid for in advance of service monthly at the first dog walk of each month or if you are scheduled for 3 or more dog walks per week you may pay on the first and 15th of each month. An invoice will be emailed for the total number of dog walks each month, invoices will vary as each month has a different number of days and some months have holidays.

      • Daily scheduled dog walks will automatically not be provided (unless you make a special request, holiday fee applies) on many federal holidays plus December 24, 31, day after Thanksgiving click here for a list of federal holidays.

    • If you need to skip a weekly scheduled dog walk every once in a while it may be credited toward the following invoice if 48 hour notice prior to missing a dog walk is given.

  • Overnight Dog and House Sitting Policy

  • Please note our pet sitters are mature above the age of 40, most are home owners, retired professionals, experienced pet sitters.

  • The room your pet sitter will sleep in must be comfortable.

  • Your pets and home must be free of fleas.

  • Our pet sitters will provide their own food.

  • Due to our insurance other people (excluding regular scheduled service people) may not be on your property or in your residence on any date overnight pet sitting is scheduled.

  • Cameras are not permitted inside the home, since your pet sitter is spending the night and depending on the service selected may be spending day time hours as well, there is an expectation of privacy. Outdoor cameras that do not send pictures from inside the home do not need to be turned off. If your system allows it your pet sitter can turn on inside cameras while she is away.

  • Non holiday overnight dog sitting once booked is billed at 50% of the total due if cancelled more than 14 days prior to the start date of the overnight service. Fourteen days prior to start of the overnight dog sitting the entire bill is due in full if cancelled. This is because your dog sitter can only do one overnight at a time and other clients are told they are booked so there is a loss of income when overnight jobs are cancelled.

  • Additional Services and Fees

    • Holiday fees: there is a $15.00 per dog walk or dog sitting visit holiday fee, $30.00 per overnight fee for many federal holidays plus day after Thanksgiving, Dec 24, 31 and Easter, Mothers Day, Fathers Day 100% of your holiday fee will be paid to your dog walker to compensate her for time away from her holiday celebration. this is to ensure that you will have someone who is happy to take care of your dog on holidays.

    • Key, there is a $15.00 key pick up and return fee, each time our pet sitter needs to pick up or return your key. You can get a lock box for your pet sitter to get the key out of each service, use a combination lock, leave a key on file for your pet sitter to have each service.

    • Dog diaper changes, if your dog wears a diaper and you would like your dog walker or dog sitter there is a $5.00 service charge per diaper change.

    • Medication administration is $5.00 per each pill administration which is not time specific - example medications can be given in the morning and evening but does not require an exact time.

    • Exact time dog walks, dog sitting visits or pill medications are an additional $10.00 per visit. Exact time means you need your dog walker to arrive at a precise time rather than our normal window of time.

    • Account set up / initial consultation fee $15.00 Your dog walker or sitter will meet you and your dog, take notes of your dog and home care preferences and see where you keep your dog supplies.

  • Cancellation Policy

    • I am sorry but refunds are not available for any reason. Credit for future service is some times available under certain conditions please see below.

    • Non holiday dog walks or dog sitting visits cancelled at least 48 hours prior to start time will be credited toward future service. Cancellations with less than 48 hour notice are billed in full.

    • Non holiday overnight dog sitting once booked is billed at 50% of the total due if cancelled less than 30 days prior to the start date of the overnight pet sitting service, 30 days prior to start of the overnight pet sitting the entire bill is due in full if cancelled. This is because your dog sitter can only do one overnight at a time and other clients are told they are booked so there is a loss of income when overnight jobs are cancelled.

    • Holiday cancellations - dog walks or dog sitting visits once booked are billed in full if cancelled. Overnight dog sitting is billed in full if cancelled.

  • Holiday Reservation Policy

    • For dog sitter service, dog walks or puppy care pet care service reservations which include any date within two weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial day, July 4th, Labor day, a non refundable, non transferable (credit can not be given for future dates) payment in full for the service is required. This policy is in place because these are the highest demand weeks of the year and dog sitters lose income if reservations are not kept.
